Teeth Grinding
Teeth grinding, also known as bruxism, is a condition where a person involuntarily grinds, gnashes, or clenches their teeth, often during sleep or times of stress. Bruxism can cause damage to the teeth, jaw, and surrounding muscles, leading to a variety of symptoms including headaches, facial pain, and disrupted sleep.
Bruxism can be caused by a variety of factors, including stress and anxiety, an abnormal bite or alignment of the teeth, or other medical conditions such as sleep apnea.
Treatment for teeth grinding may involve stress management techniques, and anti-wrinkle injections in the masseters to relax the jaw muscle, preventing movement during sleep.
