TMJ Pain

TMJ pain refers to pain or discomfort in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), which connects the jawbone to the skull. The TMJ is a complex joint that is responsible for allowing movement of the jaw for speaking, chewing, and swallowing.

TMJ pain can be caused by a range of factors, including injury or trauma to the jaw, teeth grinding or clenching, misalignment of the teeth or jaw, and arthritis. Symptoms of TMJ pain may include pain or tenderness in the jaw or surrounding areas, difficulty opening or closing the mouth, clicking or popping sounds when moving the jaw, and headaches.

Treatment for TMJ pain may depend on the underlying cause, but can include anti-wrinkle treatment injected into the masseter’s to relax the muscles around the TMJ and prevent pain.

If you are experiencing TMJ pain, it’s important to seek medical attention to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment.
